The latest chapter in The Dark Pictures Anthology has officially released and the reviews have started going out. While our own review for House of Ashes is a positive light on a dark tale from Bandai Namco and Supermassive Games, there are others that seem to agree that this title is worth checking out. Honestly, it may very well be the best title in the series so far as well and I even stated in my review that it makes me look forward to what they release next.
To complement the game’s release on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, the developers have released a special launch trailer as well. Rather than focusing on scary scenes from the story, the game’s narrator–the Curator–welcomes players back to the Anthology and teases some of the horrific discoveries and life-or-death situations players will encounter.
Whether you are brave enough to head into these encounters alone or plan on playing with a friend, or few, this tale is one you won’t want to miss. If you have enjoyed the previous games from these developers then this is a must-play for you! Are you ready for a new terrifying experience from this branching cinematic horror series?
