June 22 marks what seems to be one of the biggest seasons to happen within the current Call of Duty continuity of mainline titles and its fan-favorite Warzone. Season 4 Mercenaries of Fortune brings a great many things to be excited about whether you’re a Call of Duty: Vanguard player or a Warzone player. Complete with new maps, operators, weapons, and game modes, there’s certainly something for everyone.
When it comes to content, this season is going to be stuffed to the gills in maps alone. For Warzone, players will see the current large map, Caldera get a bit of a facelift. There’s a new underground transit system as well as new points of interest to explore across the map, including the return of Storage Town.
Additionally, a new smaller map called Fortunes’s Keep also makes its way into the rotation. This Italian island includes a large mansion-like keep, a cove, a town, and a winery for players to hold down. This will be a new Resurgence map and at a glance looks to be between Caldera and Rebirth in terms of size as it doesn’t look too small.
On the Vanguard side, you have the return of the USS Texas 1945 which was a map first found in Call of Duty: WWII. A new map called “Desolation” places players in a dynamic small-medium-sized map where the world around them is destroyed during matches.
Perhaps the coolest aspect of this season for Vanguard players is the fact that the Zombies mode will get round-based combat in a revamped Shi No Numa map. This map brings players a new questline as well as a brand-new Wonder Weapon to discover.
Season 4 drops into Call of Duty Vanguard and Warzone on June 22. For more information on the explosive new season as well as some tips and tricks, check out the official breakdown on the Call of Duty website.
