The idea of a Gears of War movie has been around since the first game blew up back in 2007. It was announced in 2016 that a movie based on the popular franchise was in the works at Universal Studios, in collaboration with Microsoft and The Coalition. Ever since the announcement, fans have been building their dream cast with actors that they think would fit the roles perfectly. In just about everyone’s roster, Dave Bautista, lands in the shoes of the iconic character, Marcus Fenix. It seems that Dave Bautista wants the part, just as much as the fans do. He recently took to twitter to announce that he, “has tried everything to make this happen”, in response to another tweet practically begging for him to be cast in the movie.
Bautista seems less than hopeful in his response, but the movie is still in it’s early stages, so there still may be a chance that he is cast in the movie, and it gets one step closer to being the best possible Gears movie that it can be.
