For the past 30 years, video games have been key to the Power Rangers franchise. Digital Eclipse, in collaboration with Hasbro, has announced a new game celebrating this legacy with retro-inspired action. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind offers an original storyline that respects and remixes Power Rangers lore with familiar and new gameplay elements. Players can brawl, blast, fight, and drive through classic game genres and fan-favorite series moments.
The game supports online and offline co-op for up to five players, who can morph into their chosen Power Ranger and pilot powerful Zords. A high-energy synth soundtrack accompanies battles against familiar enemies with unexpected twists.
Debuted at Summer Game Fest with a trailer, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind is set for a late 2024 release on PC and consoles.
In the game, the team faces a robotic reincarnation of their nemesis. Robo-Rita creates a portal to join forces with her younger self, aiming to prevent the formation of the Power Rangers and alter history. Players will experience the origins of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in a brand new way. Will the two Ritas succeed, or will the teenagers with attitude stop this catastrophic collaboration?
