Modiphius Entertainment has announced the pre-orders for the upcoming Dune: Adventures in the Imperium, so anyone who was distraught at the cinematic delay of the epic science fiction universe will be mollified by this reveal.
On the second week of December, Dune: Adventures in the Imperium will be open for pre-orders, so you’ll be able to grab the roleplaying game and see who will control the spice on Arrakis. For those that haven’t visited the inhospitable planet, the Imperium is “a place of deadly duels, feudal politics, and mysterious abilities.”
If you thought A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones for the television fans out there) was full of political warfare and warring houses, then you’ll have to brace yourself for the sci-fi epic conflict that is Dune. This is a cutthroat world and the tabletop RPG will enable players to craft memorable characters and try to exert their influence on Arrakis, on the nobility, and on the other players. Control elite agents and interact with nobles, spies, Fremen, and other individuals throughout the galaxy.
Pre-orders of the physical RPG will also include a PDF preview of the core rulebook, adapted by game designer Nathan Dowell and illustrated on the cover by Bastien Lecouffe-Deharme. For ardent fans of Dune, you’ll be able to get three special edition covers that show allegiance to three of the main noble houses. And more supplemental products are planned for 2021.
