Blessed Unleashed is coming for PC in 2021 and while there is a ton of potential for the title, it needs a bit o’ polish so that is exactly what the team is working on. Already available on consoles, the PC version will bring a whole new audience to this unique MMO. If you mix dark fantasy, a post-apocalyptic setting, and a dread-adjacent atmosphere into a game, you’re most likely to pique my interest. The Early Access version of Entropy did it for me, for sure. Personally, I’ve never been a huge fan of tactical, turn-based role-playing games, but it only took me a couple of fights to understand I was into something special. Not perfect by any means, of course, but special regardless.
Stop me if you’ve heard this one before; a guy’s significant other is randomly kidnapped by a maniacal villain and he sets out to rescue her. It’s a heavily familiar setup, albeit one with a couple of highly familiar twists to bolster it. Twisted Tower’s art direction is overly reminiscent of Bioshock too, but strong level design alongside an above-board presentation and entertaining gameplay make it worth playing despite the cliches.
