The last Inside Xbox episode finally gave confirmation to the rumor that Halo: The Master Chief Collection would finally be making its way over to PC. This news was met with some dismay however when it was also revealed the game wouldn’t be released all at once. Instead MCC on PC will roll out one game at a time beginning with the newest addition to MCC, Halo: Reach. Each game in the collection will then roll out chronologically based on release order of the original titles. No time frame has been given on when MCC will finally launch on PC let alone when we might be playing Halo 2 Anniversary but a new statement from MCC PC co-developer Splash Damage has provided an interesting insight.
“Halo: Reach is coming first, with the rest of the titles scheduled throughout the year.”
343 has previously confirmed that work on Halo: Combat Evolved is taking place in parallel to Reach so the gap between the two may not be very long. No solid information on when the collection will begin to roll out has been provided as of yet. AS a long time series fan I am just glad the release won’t be dragged out to insanely long!
