1C Entertainment and Byte Barrel would like to wish you a very Happy Valentine’s Day with the next big update from their classic FPS horror indie title, Forgive Me Father. “The Endless Love” update is full of extra content to hold us over until the full release of the game. The new batch of goodies includes an endless mode for players to try out their monster blasting skills and see how long they can last against endless waves of Lovecraftian-inspired creatures. This mode works a bit differently from the base game since skills and weapons can be upgraded with experience points much faster and there is a large emphasis on survival.
Other features included with The Endless Love update are the additions of two new levels, a new weapon, and a new enemy hidden somewhere in the game. Forgive Me Father is a classic horror FPS with a comic book art style and inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s famous novels. With a huge throwback to classic titles like Doom and Wolfenstein, Forgive Me Father is offering that old-school gameplay with slick aesthetics, upgradeable skills, and additional modes to enhance the classic formula.
There has clearly been a need for these classic FPS mechanics as of late, with steam user reviews being mostly positive and high praise for the game’s comic book fidelity. The gameplay is looking fast, chaotic, and very bloody. We may have to give this one a First Impression and give you some more details on the title’s offerings. Hopefully, the full release can tie a pretty bow on this package with a story worth treading through.
Forgive Me Father is available now in Early Access on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. Developer Byte Barrel is promising future updates in the coming months, leading up to its planned official release sometime in the first half of 2022.
