It's that time again—Mortal Kombat 1 kicked off Season 5 of Invasions Mode today, marking a significant upgrade from Season 4. Each season introduces a new major antagonist, accompanied by a range of cosmetics themed around that character, well, most of the time.
Season 4 revolved around Mileena, or so it seemed. Contrary to expectations of a pink-themed season, it was dominated by green and orange tones. The trailer for this season actually had more pink with a new cyborg skin. Now, Season 5 centers on the malevolent deity Raiden, with a return to thematically relevant colors such as electric blue, reflected in a variety of skins.
