The Nintendo Switch is finally getting a video streaming app, but it's not Netflix. Check out the trailer for the Japanese YouTube like service NicoNico, which is set to premiere sometime later this week:

While only available in Japan, the move does show that it is indeed possible for a video streaming platform to be available on the Switch...even if it is taking an eternity for it to actually happen. No word on why Netflix and YouTube have been so slow to get their Switch apps up and running, but hopefully NicoNico's launch will begin the wave of other third party apps joining the console.
