Coffee Stain Publishing, known for their killer co-op game Deep Rock Galactic, is bringing us a full-fledged paranormal 4v4 multiplayer. The Ghostbusters-esque multiplayer is launching on Steam Early Access this Spring and bringing with it some awesome asymmetrical gameplay.
The premise is pretty simple, Midnight Ghost Hunt is a hide-and-seek match with Ghosts vs Hunters. Team Ghosts have the ability to possess objects in the game to blend into their environment while Hunters try to hunt them down before the clock strikes midnight.
Hunters will have various gadgets, weapons, and skills to help them seek out and trap the ghosts hiding within the haunted location. The early access build of the game will include 7 maps inspired by spooky locations. The Ghosts team is tasked with hiding from the Hunters by possessing seemingly harmless objects throughout the map. However, the Hunters have to watch their backs because the Ghosts have some tricks up their sleeves that can cause the Hunters an untimely death.
The entire match can be won by the Hunters if they are able to seek out all of the Ghosts and stop their teammates from reviving each other before midnight. However, once the clock strikes midnight, the tables turn and the Ghosts now become vengeful spirits. The Hunters must now survive a constant onslaught of vengeful spirits, a task seemingly challenging for any Ghostbuster wannabe.
The early access version of the game will include the following:
4v4 hide n seek mode with matchmaking
7 maps inspired by spooky tropes
10 Hunter weapons, 10 Hunter gadgets, 9 Hunter perks
10 Ghost abilities, 10 Ghost Perks, 8 Ghost Haunts
Bots: can fill in for players, but are also able to play pure bot matches with you
+40 skins, emotes and taunts

Voice chat integrated into the game
