Earlier in the day, there was news that only Green Man Gaming (GMG) versions of the game were being refunded and the vendor was being cautious of Ghost of Tsushima being hit with the same restrictions as Helldivers 2 for puchrase, but now a Steam update has confirmed that the same rules have been applied to the main platform.
In a recent update on SteamDB, it is now confirmed that Ghost of Tsushima on PC is now NOT for sale in the same countries where PSN does not exist and follows the same list as Helldivers 2 restricted countries earlier this week.
This is coming as quite the shock to fans who were eagerly anticipating the game and now are unable to have the game. Even though earlier this month, Sucker Punch Productions, the developers of the title stated on X that the title will not adhere to the PSN requirement debacle for the single player, but it seems Sony has spoken for them.
This definitely comes out of left field for many fans who only hours ago were able to have the game pre-ordered across the world, and the change that only went live less than an hour ago has quashed the dreams of many gamers to enjoy the game.
It seems Sony is being firm on choosing where its products are sold, and perhaps this could be harmful to the longterm sales of the product, and adversely cause problems for the PC port sales.
