Game Director Ary Chen, during an interview with Insider Gaming, confirmed that the game was not a soulslike, dispelling online rumors and debate. He described the game’s combat as “approachable but difficult to master.” Combo chaining is easy to perform, but learning all combat possibilities and Knight combinations will be a task only the skillful can achieve.
