I remember playing Myst and Riven on my uncle’s computer when I was a wee little lass oh so many years ago. I remember being entranced by the sights and sounds of those odd yet fantastic creations, especially the soundtracks and voice acting contained. As a full 3D remake, Riven is better than ever. Fully re-imagined for modern audiences and tech, it doesn’t lose the original aspects that made it so special. Ahhhh.. sniffle.

It doesn’t matter if you played the original a hundred times or you’ve never heard of the follow-up to Myst. This is an experience to be, well, experienced by both young and old. Dive in, you won’t regret it.

What year is it again?! We have enjoyed so many remakes, remasters, and re-releases, we’ve been spoiled with so many “old yet new” goodies. Beyond Good & Evil - 20th Anniversary Edition doesn’t reinvent the wheel per se but it doesn’t need to. BG&E was already a gem when it released 20 (!) years ago. This just adds some much-needed graphical updates, so wonderful new behind-the-scenes items, and new music tracks.

It’s not a mindblowing upgrade by any means but it left this lady happy and I would definitely recommend it as a starting point to the hopefully coming sequel!
