Skybound Is Looking To Hire Ex-Telltale Devs To Finish THE WALKING DEAD: THE FINAL SEASON

Last week, Skybound Games announced that it will be taking over the completion of the final season for Telltale’s The Walking Dead after the studio announced its sudden closure and laid off all of its staff. Now, after a Q&A session on Reddit, Skybound’s CEO Ian Howe revealed that the studio is looking to bring back all previous developers from Telltale to help complete the final season of the game.

“The plan is for it to be staffed 100% by former Telltale staff,” Howe said during the Q&A session. “We’ve been in contact with most, if not all of them in one way or the other. I met most of them personally last week…great bunch of people and it was a great dun chatting with them about how we can get the show back on the road.”

Of course, Howe was aware that asking people to come back to the project won’t be a simple task. He revealed that “it’s unfair to ask someone to come back and do a couple of weeks work, especially if that would get in the way of another job offer, so this is just one example of some of the challenges we face.”

As of now, no new details were revealed about the upcoming Episode 3 and 4 of the game’s final season, but it is safe to bet that both episodes will be released at a slightly later date than what Telltale initially scheduled.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season’s first two episodes are now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
