Intro and Gameplay
Is there anything more satisfying than the POP of a headshot?! Why yes, there is. The slow motion, x-ray headshots from the team at Rebellion who consistently deliver amazing shooters with epic campaigns, and their latest, Sniper Elite: Resistance is no exception. This is WWII shooting at its finest.
Alongside the thrilling and fantastic campaign, Resistance has a ton of new features in both single player and multiplayer modes. Yes, the campaign feels like previous entries but that is far from a dig in fact it’s a major compliment because what was already good feels phenomenal in resistance. If you haven’t played any game in this series, Resistance is a wonderful place to start. If you are a series veteran, welcome home!
Graphics and Sound
Oh Rebellion, let me count the ways. Your games run oh so buttery smooth, especially on PC and from the animations to the environments to the constantly improving death x-ray cams, this game is absolutely glorious. With a ton of graphics options and performance that already run like a dream, Resistance is a fantastic showcase for your new or aging graphics card.
The sound? Unreal. Music and sound effects are exciting and chilling all at the same time as your SMG and sniper bullets tear through Nazi scum. It never gets old. Always thrilling, the sound just plain rocks.
Feedback and Verdict
Is Resistance perfect? No. Yet it feels like a fresh new entry of a series that goes way back. Some of the voice lines and animations felt a little unpolished but those are nitpicks in any otherwise stellar package that no one should miss. There are Nazis to blast and you are being called. Get some.
