Alright, I have a weird obsession with Starship Troopers. At its best, it is an ok movie with some decent action and really cheesy dialog. Yet, I still love it and enjoy my rewatches of the original to this day! Unfortunately, the sequels were quite garbage and didn’t recapture the magic the original holds over me to this day. Anyways, a new survival style RTS is in development from Slitherine dubbed Starship Troopers: Terran Command and it looks very promising!
Set in the same universe as the movies, Terran Command has you fighting against the bugs in strategic deployments. There will be branching paths for the story to take depending on your in-game choices with each offering different perks. Not a whole lot has been revealed about the title yet but expect more in the coming weeks! Starship Troopers: Terran Command is expected to launch sometime in 2020. In the meantime check out both of the videos above and see some of the early alpha footage in action. I love that the bugs are scaling the wall, such an authentic touch, I need this game!
