Surprise! GOD OF WAR Was The Best Selling Game In April

To no surprise at all, Santa Monica Studios’ critically-acclaimed hit, God of War takes the sport as April’s best selling game according to the NPD Group. This milestone is a testament to the game’s wide appeal to gamers everywhere. It is also worth pointing out that a few weeks ago, Sony proudly announced that God of War also became the fastest selling PS4 exclusive of all time. God of War is followed by Far Cry 5 at number 2, and Nintendo’s Labo Variety Kit at number 4.

Looking at the year-to-date ranking of best selling video games for 2018, God of War takes the number three spot, which is still impressive given that the game has been out for just a month. Monster Hunter: World takes second place, with Far Cry 5 taking the top spot on the list.

You can check out our God of War Review where we talked about how Kratos’ character transitioned from a cliched brute to a well-fleshed out character. What do you think of the games that made the April charts? I’m actually quite surprised that the Nintendo Labo is up at number 4.
