The SCP lore is ever-expanding and has gathered a ton of fans over the years. It has sparked the inspiration for a plethora of horror indie titles and set the bar for community-based development. Secure Contain Protect is etched into the minds of horror fans worldwide, and now they can get excited for another promising project coming from Affray Interactive, SCP: Pandemic.
This brand new indie title is a horror tactical first-person shooter. Players take the role of a rogue fireteam that is against the SCP Foundation and their overall end goal of global omnicide. SCP: Pandemic offers cooperative FPS tactical gameplay with up to four squad mates as you explore the deep ends of the facility. Players will also have the opportunity to modify their weapons and fight to survive against waves of monsters.
The trailer gives off some major GTFO and Rainbow Six Extraction vibes but is injected into the heavily lore-rich atmosphere of SCP. There’s a lot of potential for this project and what it could end up being once it is complete.
Currently, SCP: Pandemic provides about 2 hours of story content, a basic PvP mode, and a basic wave survival mode. Affray Interactive is asking for players to partake in the early access to help fund the project and get it to their desired vision. Ultimately, the developers want to have a fully fleshed-out co-op campaign with the potential of paid DLC story expansions in the future.
SCP: Pandemic is currently available now on PC via Steam Early Access. Let us know in the comments if you want our First Impression of the new SCP title.
