The survival-horror genre has been thriving off a multitude of themes such as the flesh-eating zombies from Resident Evil, the parasitic necromorphs from Dead Space, and the criminally insane inmates from Outlast. However, the development team over at Refugium Games is bringing us a survival horror of other-worldly proportions.
Greyhill Incident is a new first-person survival-horror game based on Aliens and UFO abductions. Players take over the role of Ryan Baker, a local neighborhood watch member tasked with protecting the residents. The village has been burdened with many disappearances of animals and residents alike. You must survive the Alien invasion and help protect the people of the local village with items you find hiding in various homes and barns.
“The Greys” have overrun the neighborhood and players must use all items at their disposal to survive. Whether it is a baseball bat or a gun, you will need anything you can find to survive the night.
Greyhill Incident is set in 1992 which was a time when alien abductions and sightings were littered throughout pop culture, influencing countless movies and shows in the 90s. It seems like Greyhill Incident is looking to bring back those Alien golden days with more of a focus on horror. The game is inspired by several books and true stories of encounters of the third kind.
Greyhill Incident is expected to launch this Summer on PC and can be added to your wishlist on Steam.
