SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio announced today that Lost Judgement, the spinoff to the popular Yakuza series, would receive a story expansion update on March 28th. The expansion, called The Kaito Files, will take place after the events of Lost Judgement. Fan-favorite character Masaharu Kaito takes the starring role while his partner Takayuki Yagami is out of town.

The story expansion promises a search for Kaito’s long-lost love Mikki and a surprise encounter with a young man named Jun claiming to be his son. In a story with as many twists and turns as Lost Judgement, it shouldn’t be surprising that its upcoming expansion would continue the trend.

This is the third piece of DLC that Lost Judgement has gotten. The first was called the Detective Essentials Pack which was largely cosmetic. The second was called the School Stories Expansion Pack which just came out this past October. In the second DLC, players got items for completing School Stories in the game, as well as a new, fourth fighting style for Yagami based on boxing. This is surely the largest, most expansive addition to the world of Lost Judgement. The DLC will be available on March 28th for $29.99 USD. Season Pass holders and Ultimate Edition owners can access the new story at no additional cost.

Lost Judgement is available for Playstation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
