A new first-person shooter escapes from the underworld and comes to Steam. From developer ITEM42 and publisher HandyGames comes the title PERISH, a co-op shooter inspired by classical mythology. The game is now on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG but the brave will be able to take on hordes of the undead on consoles before the end of 2023.
Take on the realm of Purgatory as the condemned spirit, Amyetri. Armed with nothing but a broken sword and your own bravery, help Amyetri escape a dark eternity. Fight for your life against bestial creatures and cultic spirits all to the hardcore riffs of a heavy metal soundtrack.
Eliminate hordes of the undead and battle rare colossal deities in epic boss battles. Gather gold danke and meet with the high priestess to exchange your danke for more than 10 different kinds of weapons like javelins, swords, bows, and guns. With each weapon type comes its own upgradeable offensive capabilities. Reap the spoils of combat and trek your way through labyrinths, fiery pits, and collapsing cliffs.
Players can take on the relentless hordes of the undead with up to three friends in an intense co-op mode. After enabling the co-op mode players will notice the co-op-specific gear and other mechanics that get added to the game to change their experience in the underworld.
PERISH is available now on Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. For fans of the soundtrack, you can purchase the soundtrack on Steam by itself or as a bundle. Playstation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One versions will arrive later on this year.
