Kia Huntzinger, the original voice of EVA in Command & Conquer, reprised her role and recorded all-new audio for the upcoming remaster.
Jim Vessella, a producer on Command & Conquer: Remastered at Electronic Arts, shared the story of Huntzinger’s role at Westwood Studios during the development of the original game. The recordings were lost, however, but Huntzinger worked in a studio to remaster the audio lines.
Vessella had this to say about Huntzinger:
Kia has brought an authenticity to the project which just couldn’t be achieved in any other way. Kia wanted to do this for the fans and approached the recording full of passion and eagerness. We’re forever thankful to Kia for contributing to this remaster journey, and hope everyone in the C&C community will appreciate her performance.
It’s an exciting project, and we can’t wait for further news of its development progress.
