The newest characters in the game have been unveiled, and if you read the title you would know that it is indeed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The heroes in a half shell were unveiled today along with how the characters will be played using the gear customization system. Players will be able to change which character they are playing by equipping one of four unique weapons, which you could also probably guess are a bo staff, nunchakus, swords and sais (the weird forked dagger things). When the items are equipped each character will have its own specific move set, character powers, and special moves. In Tournament mode and online play where item specific loadout isn't available players will just be able to select whatever turtle they want to play with.
I have to say that I love the animation style that was brought to the game. The addition of the Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird version of the Heroes in the half shell look incredibly enjoyable, and the characters seamlessly fit into the game for me. I am excited to try them out and see how they perform in the game.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be available to play on February 13th for people who have purchased the Ultimate Edition or Ultimate Pack for the game. However, those who don't have either of those will be able to purchase them in Fighter pack #3 on the 20th of February.
