There has been much distaste for the way Konami has shown their approach to games in a post-Hideo-Kajima world, with so many of their upcoming releases being casual games and other outlets. Well, today KPE, Konami's company that handles the production of their pachinko machines has filed a trademark for Metal Gear Solid's Big Boss character.
While Konami has sworn up and down that they plan to still release AAA titles, particularly in the Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill franchises, it seems a line of Metal Gear themed pachinko machines are on the docket for a much sooner release. Oh well, at least we still have Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to keep us company.
