Retro-Bit Is Teasing Something Mysterious Over On Social Media

Retro-Bit has started to drop cryptic countdown pictures over on social media. The teases began on the 20th with an email from Retro-Bit going out to newsletter subscribers depicting space and 5 days written in the background. The header for the landing page also noted that they were celebrating and bringing us along for the ride. The same tease followed the next day on the 21st but this time over on social media.

I have been speculating as to what these images could be teasing with others over on Twitter. and so far we have come up with the possibility that the announcement might be something Sega Saturn related due to the space theme of the image and the fact that Saturn is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Potentially the re-announcement of the dual analog stick controllers that had previously been put on hold? Or, maybe this is a tease for the announcement of the Retro-Bit Dreamcast controllers release date? This second option seems more likely to me personally since that is the next biggest product coming from the company after today’s launch of the new Tribute 64 colors.

After a day without a tease, Retro-Bit returned today with another image, and today it is of the I Heart Retro logo they use on their 2.4 GHz Sega controllers.

This definitely leads me to suspect that whatever is coming will be part of Retro-Bit’s 2.4GHz product line. So this could potentially be a Dreamcast or even wireless Tribute 64 announcement incoming? Thankfully, the day for this countdown to end will be Monday, so we only have a short while to wait to see what everything means!

What do you all think Retro-Bit is teasing here?
