Coming a long way since I first interviewed them back in 2017, developer Crafting Legends has officially announced their pixelated gore adventure game Death Trash is going into Steam Early Access on August 5th. Their early access release date trailer was part of the PC Gamer Show segment at E3 and is a great step forward for this game.
They shared a post on the Steam page going over their reasons for going with early access now and it’s pretty reasonable. It has gameplay that feels satisfying and is complex enough, a good amount of content, a solid framework and tools, many design problems figured out, platform features implemented, and a plan where they want to go with the game. With more players playing, they can get more feedback on how to improve it further as they finish it.
