If you are at all interested in Deck 13’s upcoming sequel title The Surge 2, then the launch trailer released by their publisher Focus Home Interactive is sure to bring it back to the forefront of your mind and amp you up for launch on Tuesday, September 24th! Full of epic finishers, crazy bosses, and a song that is a straight banger, this is a one minute trailer you will be glad you watched.
Within such a short time frame you can see so many of the crazy things we are able to do and there is sure to be so much more beneath it all. Leaping over a gap with some parkour elements, at least six different weapons are shown in use, enemies ranging from other humans to gigantic monstrosities; there’s just so much packed in this short trailer.
It does look like they showed off quite a few finishers though, but from the little bit I have played through so far already, the combat pace will be a bit slower - unless you are epic yourself. Keep in mind that it is a punishing fighter that will have you dodging, evading, running, and healing just as much as you will be timing your attacks. The more you upgrade, the easier fights get. Just some early thoughts in the midst of the hype before you rush off to pre-order your copy.
The Surge 2 will be launching on Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. If you are ready to test your skill and conquer a city, then get ready to steal some gear because these foes aren’t holding back!
