The Consumer Electronics Show this year (CES 2025) was held in Las Vegas from January 7 – 11. It showcased some exciting new gaming hardware, and there were some huge announcements for gamers to look forward to over the coming months.

With that said, here is a closer look at three of the biggest gaming stories from CES 2025.

What is CES?

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is an annual event that showcases the latest technological trends that are helping to shape the gaming industry in more ways than one. It's where tech leaders and global innovators converge to announce upcoming game releases, emerging technologies, and more.

It's regarded by many as the world's most influential tech event, and this year's trade show, organised by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), had many surprises that will help usher in a new generation of gaming.

What were the three biggest gaming stories from CES 2025?

Three of the most-talked-about announcements from CES 2025 included the following:

  2. Razer unveiled Project Ava – a highly sophisticated artificial intelligence-powered in-game assistant that is capable of analysing your performance. This exciting new tech can coach you by providing relevant advice and suggesting which moves you should make at certain points in the game

  3. The Legion Go S handheld gaming device (which runs on the SteamOS) emerged as the Valve Steam Deck's biggest competitor

Some of the other big gaming announcements at CES 2025 included the release of Hyperkin's PS5-Style Xbox/PC Controller and Corsair's Origin Arachnid Gaming PC.
