If you watched the Nintendo Direct Mini—with the partner showcase—then you already saw the news, but it’s a windfall of Shen Megami Tensei news for the loyal fans out there.
It’s been 17 years since the 2003 release of Shin Megami Tensei III, and the end of the world is back with a full HD remake. Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster will launch for the Nintendo Switch in the spring of 2021.
That would be enough for some fans, but the world isn’t safe yet. Nintendo has also revealed that Shin Megami Tensei V is arriving next year as well! The classic series from Atlus is coming back in a big way. 2021 will a big year for JRPGs, and the fifth game will release simultaneously across the world so no anxious waiting or hand-wringing for Western gamers.
