Sony has announced PlayStation Studios, which is a new brand name for all of the studios that develop first-party titles for the PlayStation consoles.
The group of studios include Naughty Dog, Insomniac Games, Santa Monica Studio, and Sucker Punch to name a few. The best exclusive games on PS4, and soon to be on PS5, are developed by these heavy-hitters in the industry and the re-branding will highlight their focus as the top of PlayStation gaming.
The Uncharted series. God of War. The Last of Us. Ghost of Tsushima. Spider-Man. All of these titles and so much more come from PlayStation Studios.
And Sony has released a new opening animation for the re-branding. It shows all of the most popular exclusive games in the rotating classic PlayStation shapes. The video reminds me of the opening animation for the Marvel Cinematic Universe that shows all of the heroes in the films.
I can’t wait to see what first-party titles launch for the PS5. What about you?
