A Playable KINGDOM HEARTS 3 Will Be Featured At E3 2018
Kingdom Hearts fans who will be attending E3 2018 are in for a treat as the highly-anticipated title, Kingdom Hearts III will be playable at the gaming conference. The announcement was shared by developer Square Enix via a Twitter post sharing that fans can get a hands-on experience at the developer’s booth.
Square Enix initially announced Kingdom Hearts III at E3 2013 where the developer showed a brief teaser with an announcement that the title is in development. Ever since then the studio was silent on the progress of the upcoming title besides releasing a few teasers. However, a more concrete announcement was made during last year’s D23 Expo where Square Enix revealed that the game is “coming in 2018.”
Currently, besides the release window of 2018, Square Enix still has not announced a specific launch date for Kingdom Hearts III. However, it is reported that the studio will share the long-awaited time early this June, which coincides with this year’s E3, so it is expected that the announcement will be made at the event.
In other Kingdom Hearts news, Square Enix announced last month that they will be featuring mini-games inspired by classic Disney animated shorts from the 1980’s Disney LCD games. The mini-games will feature iconic Mickey Mouse cartoons that will include “Giantland,” “The Karnival Kid,” “Musical Farmer” and “The Barnyard Battle.” These nostalgic mini-games will be featured in a Game & Watch handheld device in-game that pays homage to the iconic Disney cartoons.
