The first episode of Fallout Season 2 brought a bevy of surprises as the show moves into New Vegas. The Ghoul, Lucy, and Maximus all return for more post-apocalyptic mayhem based on the acclaimed video game series from Bethesda.
While a good bit of the episode focuses on The Ghoul and Lucy, we do check in on Lucy’s mysterious father Hank. He arrives in New Vegas and leaves a message for someone. But who could he be talking to? We have some guesses as to who it might be!
Possible spoilers for Fallout Season 1 and 2 below!
Who is Hank’s voice message for at the end of Fallout Season 2 Episode 1?
Seeing as Hank was involved with the nuclear bombings, it’s more than feasible to assume that he left a message to Robert House. House played a big part in the episode (as well as the games) in terms of the bombing. If going by the games, House is still alive, just not in a human form. So, with Hank going all the way to New Vegas, House’s home turf, it’s clear he wants to ‘finish what they started’.
As for other guesses, perhaps he’s speaking to other states and regions, sending a message to them. With a majority of the Vault-Tec and government members still alive after the bombings, there’s cause to believe other figureheads are planning to return. It’s still up in the air whether one such figure, the wife of The Ghoul (then Cooper), Barb, survived the fallout or not.
Fallout Season 2 is available to stream on Prime Video. New episodes will air every Thursday until February 4th, 2026.
