AGDQ 2020 Closes Event With More Than $3 Million Raised In The Fight Against Cancer

Charity event, Awesome Games Done Quick 2020, concluded it’s week-long speedrunning marathon earlier this week, after raising $3.13 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. The money was raised from the most donations that AGDQ has received thus far. Racking in over 54,000 donations from more than 80 different countries.

The event took place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Orlando, FL, where more than 2,700 people attended. The Twitch broadcast saw a peak of over 236,000 concurrent viewers as well, making both turnouts being much bigger than last year’s event. Next in the lineup for Games Done Quick is Summer Games Done Quick 2020. The event will take place in Bloomington, MN, and will run from June 21-28. Following SGDQ 2020, AGDQ 2021 will take place January 3-10, location TBA.
