It was at the tail-end of last week that Atari announced that their latest gaming system, the Atari VCS would provide gamers with access to Xbox Cloud Gaming, GeForce Now, Stadia, and Luna. This is a real game-changer as the VCS is a pretty impressive piece of tech already, making this just another cherry on top of a cherry on top of the sundae.
By Atari having this function available, this is a truly versatile console that pushes boundaries far beyond what was thought possible of it. It’s a gaming console, PC, and now, streaming box. All of the streaming services can be accessed easily from the Atari VCS Store individually.
“The Atari VCS team is thrilled to deliver all of the leading cloud gaming services to our users at one time and in one place,” said Michael Arzt, Atari COO of Atari VCS and Connected Devices. “Many fans have been accessing these services on their own and asking for direct links for some time now. We actively strive to satisfy their various requests and will continue to add more exciting new features as we keep moving the VCS platform forward.”
Currently, these services can be played on the VCS with Atari Modern Controllers in USB wired mode, with wireless support coming at a later date. Although, users who normally use wireless Stadia, Xbox, and Luna controllers can do so with the corresponding service at this time and a mouse and keyboard will be needed to sign into the services.
The Atari VCS lineup is available to purchase online and in-store from Best Buy, GameStop, Micro Center, and the official Atari VCS website right now!
