An ongoing RPG series that originated as a Japan-only title in 1992 has now reached its fifth title in the series and is already available worldwide! Shin Megami Tensei V is the latest title from Atlus and SEGA has published it exclusively on the Nintendo Switch. Not only is it now available, but there is also a deluxe edition available for fans to get a few perks to the game.
After a grisly murder sends you on a detour in modern-day Tokyo, you end up finding yourself buried and unconscious. Later you awaken in a new Tokyo, a wasteland ravaged by apocalypse now called Da’at. But before bloodthirsty demons can claim his life, a savior emerges, and they unite to become a mighty being neither human nor demon: a Nahobino. With this newfound power, you realize you’re in an enigmatic realm filled with mythical deities and demonic tyrants in constant conflict for survival. You must forge your own path in a battle between light and dark to dictate the fate of the world.
Shin Megami Tensei V also offers a DLC pack for those with the game and not the Deluxe edition but want the goods that the Deluxe edition provides. It’s slightly more expensive, so if you don’t have the game and want the full package it is worth getting the Deluxe, but at least everything is offered for those that pass up on the opportunity for now.
