Cyprus is the kind of place where plans can change pretty quickly. You might start the day with a list of things to see and end up spending most of it on the beach. Then dinner runs late, nobody wants to head back to the hotel, and you start looking for something else to do.
A casino can be one of those options.
There aren't casinos on every corner in Cyprus. Most visitors will come across one large resort in Limassol and a few smaller venues in other popular parts of the island. That makes it fairly easy to choose: either go for the full casino night or find somewhere close to where you're already staying.

City of Dreams Mediterranean, Limassol
City of Dreams Mediterranean is in a different category from the other casinos on this list.

There are restaurants, a hotel, pools, a spa and other places to spend time. That makes a difference if you're traveling with someone who isn't particularly interested in gambling.

C2 Nicosia is much more straightforward.

Nicosia is a good city to explore on foot. You can wander through the old streets, stop for coffee, visit a museum and somehow find yourself sitting down for dinner several hours later. If you're still not ready to call it a night, the casino gives you somewhere else to go.
You'll find both slots and table games here. It's smaller than City of Dreams Mediterranean, but that also means you don't need to set aside an entire evening for the visit.
Go in for an hour. Stay longer if you're enjoying yourself. Leave if you're not.
No complicated plan required.
C2 Paphos
Paphos isn't somewhere I'd visit specifically for a casino. There are simply too many other things competing for your time.
You've got the harbor, archaeological sites, beaches and restaurants. On a short trip, it's surprisingly easy to run out of days.
C2 Paphos is better treated as an extra.
The venue is smaller and mainly focused on slot machines. That makes it a reasonable choice when you've already had dinner and want to do something for another hour or two.
You don't need to dress up or turn it into a big event. Drop in, have a look around and play if something takes your fancy.
Then head back outside. An evening walk around Paphos is pretty hard to beat anyway.
C2 Ayia Napa
Ayia Napa has never had much trouble keeping people entertained after dark.
In summer, the town can stay busy well into the night. There are bars, clubs and restaurants everywhere, which is great until you've done the same thing three evenings in a row.
That's when the local casino becomes more interesting.
C2 Ayia Napa is relatively small and mostly about slots. It's not trying to offer the same experience as the huge Limassol resort. Instead, it's somewhere you can stop during a night out.
Maybe you stay for 40 minutes. Maybe you get lucky and stay for two hours.
Either way, once you walk back outside, you still have the rest of Ayia Napa around you.
Is It Worth Traveling for a Casino?
For City of Dreams Mediterranean, possibly.
If casinos are something you genuinely enjoy, the Limassol resort is large enough to justify making a special trip. There's enough happening outside the gaming floor to spend an evening there even if you don't play much.
For the smaller casinos, I'd keep things simple.
If you're staying in Paphos, visit the one in Paphos. If your hotel is in Nicosia, use the Nicosia venue. There's little point spending part of your holiday driving across the island just because another casino has a slightly different selection of machines.
Convenience matters more when the casino is only one part of the evening.
Make It Part of the Holiday
A casino night in Cyprus is probably best when it happens almost by accident.
You've had dinner. It's still warm outside. Someone suggests going somewhere else before heading back. You find a casino nearby and decide to give it a try.
Set a budget before you start and treat that money the same way you'd treat the cost of dinner, drinks or tickets to a show. Once it's gone, you're done.
If you win, great.
If you don't, step outside and carry on with your holiday. You're in Cyprus. There are worse places to lose a few euros.
