With the release date set for the end of the month, the hype for the next anime-based game is now focused on One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows from Bandai Namco. While they have already announced that players can now pre-order the game to get some unique costumes and early access to the Saitama “Dream Version,” which lets you play as a “normal” hero, they are now showing off more of the characters in the game. So far, we have been shown characters like Saitama, Vaccine Man, Genos, Mumen Rider, King of the Deep Sea, and more, but the three they have recently included are definitely some good choices.
First up we have Child Emperor, the 10-year-old S-class Hero that uses his wits to overcome his enemies. Short characters are always a must-have in fighting titles and thus this character was a great choice to include. Then we have my least favorite jerk character, Sweet Mask, who holds the A-Class Rank 1 position as a gatekeeper to other heroes from becoming S-Class. And then our master swordsman, Spring Mustachio, who is an A-Class Rank 28 Hero.
All of these new characters bring something different to the table and I look forward to seeing who they decide to have as the full roster on both the Hero and Villain side of the list. We have seen that they plan on having a world for players to traverse and the classic fighting game set up, so after playing through Kakarot, DragonBall FighterZ, and Jump Force, I am anxious to see what route they took with this one! At least the waits almost over with February 28th coming soon.
