With the release day of the virtual reality exclusive title in the Warhammer 40,000 universe only a few days away, developers Carbon Studio have revealed gameplay for Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Tempestfall. Providing 7 full minutes of exploration and action, they are showing off all the elements players can expect to experience throughout the game. Excited fans with a PC VR setup will be able to start their own adventure as a Stormcast Eternal on November 17th via Steam VR, Viveport, and Oculus.
Step into the realm of Death as Lord Arcanum, a storm-magic wielding warrior. As one of Sigmar’s Stormcast Eternals, you must lead your order deep into this shadow-filled land to recover their lost souls of your order from the Nighthaunt hordes. Battle through Nighthaunt enemies using upgradable melee weapons and by casting powerful magic attacks. Use the environment wisely to lure foes to their doom, and, in desperate situations, get hands-on by grabbing attackers and using them as projectiles.
This gameplay reveal shows off the immersive combat experience that uses advanced physics mechanics. Not to mention that Tempestfall features an intuitive parrying system offering the freedom to create combos, which can be complemented with powerful gesture-based spells, all of which we see in action. It is definitely eye-catching to say the least.
