Over the past week, Free League Publishing has made a handful of announcements regarding what’s new from them for their various TableTop Role-Playing Games (TTRPG). After having a pleasant interview with Tomas Härenstam, I am excited to see what else will come from them. For now, let’s take a look at the latest news from their catalog and upcoming titles.
THE LORD OF THE RINGS ROLEPLAYING Gets Two New Expansions!
If you have enjoyed The One Ring roleplaying game, then you’ll want to check out the 5E edition from the same creators which is simply known as The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying. Whether you are new or returning to this TTRPG, there are two new expansions to keep the adventure going within Middle-Earth. These expansions are Ruins of Eriador and Tales From Eriador.
The expansions are 5E adaptations of Ruins of the Lost Realm and the upcoming Tales From the Lone-Lands for the multiple award-winning second edition of The One Ring roleplaying game, based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien.
Both of these new expansions are available for pre-order today in both bundle and standalone formats. You will need the core rule book in order to play the expansions. Those are also available on the Free League website store.
DRAGONBANE Gets Translated Into Seven Different Languages!
Even with there being a few months left before the launch of Dragonbane, interest in this game has been building up worldwide. To meet this upcoming need, Free League has had the game translated into seven languages, officially localizing it for many countries around the world! Given this game gave a positive first impression to many tabletop players during its demo stage, it’s no surprise it is being met with high demand and was even voted as one of the most anticipated RPGs of 2023.
Adding to the already announced English edition under the title Dragonbane, the new edition of Sweden's first and biggest tabletop RPG Drakar och Demoner will now be translated into German (Uhrwerk Verlag), French (Arkhane Asylum), Italian (Need Games), Spanish (Devir Games), Norwegian (Aegir Games), and Danish (Faraos Cigarer).
Dragonbane is available to be pre-ordered today. All pre-orders will be given immediate access to the complete PDF package, ahead of the boxed edition release in August 2023. The PDF package will be found on DriveThruRPG, which is where players interested in just the PDF package of the game can purchase it in that format.
VAESEN Gets The Lost Mountain Saga Expansion!
The mystery-filled journeys within the Vaesen TTRPG has just gained a new expansion, bringing five new mysteries to the game. This expansion is The Lost Mountain Saga. Get ready to explore ancient myths and old Nordic folk tales, get entangled in social intrigue, and encounter unspeakable horrors in every shadow as you travel across the Mythic North as you strive to uncover the truth.
The expansion is written by actor and podcaster Ellinor DiLorenzo and is based on the adventures from her original podcast but expanded and modified for the official release. The hardcover book is beautifully illustrated by the acclaimed artists Johan Egerkrans and Anton Vitus.
