In years that passed, toy-maker Mattel previously released special editions of Hot Wheels toys that are inspired by iconic video games. Earlier this year, the company announced a Rocket League Table Top game and now, a Mario Kart themed Hot Wheels Racer is in the works.
The Mario Kart themed toy will feature eight characters in total, which includes Mario, Bowser, Princess Peach, Luigi, Toad, Yoshi, Wario, and Rosalina. Each character will own a custom vehicle, similar to those seen in the racing game.
However, the Mario Kart Hot Wheels creation will not be released until next year, most probably by June of 2019. Fans who will visit the San Diego Comic-Con this weekend will be able to preview the toy racing game this weekend.
In other Mario Kart news, Nintendo recently announced their plans to introduce new updates for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the Switch. We still don't know what changes the update will bring to the game, but as it sounds, it will probably be massive.
