Mobile games make a s*** ton of money. So much money, in fact, that Eurogamer reports Clash of Clans developers taxes alone accounted for 1/5th of Finland's capital gains. While that's impressive, it's a little less impressive when you consider their entire population totals that of the state of Colorado. Even so, that shouldn't belittle the achievement! A couple of guys just pulled in enough money to be taxed as if they were every fifth person in the country!
Maybe I should get in the mobile gaming business. Clearly, there’s real money in it, not just for developers, but even for players. There’s a whole secondary market now where people buy Clash of Clans accounts loaded with gems and resources to skip the grind entirely.
