Detective Pikachu is definitely a stand out game compared to the usual catch ‘em all adventures that players are used to with other Pokémon games. If by any chance you are curious to play Detective Pikachu, you can try the game for free with a free demo that is now available on the 3DS’ eShop.
The “special demo version” of the game will cover the first chapter of the game, and save data is transferable if you decide to get the full game. Furthermore, Nintendo will give players an incentive for those who purchase Detective Pikachu on the eShop with a Detective Pikachu 3DS theme until April 22.
Detective Pikachu is not your usual Pokémon game. The title revolves around the titular Pokémon Pikachu, and the player takes the role of a human boy named Tim Goodman, together they solve mysteries around Ryme City in search for Tim’s father. The game can be similar to old adventure games with its point-and-click feature and brings in an immersive storytelling and a unique Pokémon experience.
Detective Pikachu is now available, exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS. A movie version of the game, starring Ryan Reynolds as the voice of Pikachu is also set to release on May 2019.
