The highly anticipated sequel to Doom (2016), Doom Eternal, got a whole lot of love during Bethesda’s E3 presentation. A story trailer, collectors edition, the brand new Battlemode, and release date were all revealed during its spotlight on stage. The story trailer gives a little insight on what is in store for the Doomslayer in the next installment, as well as the release date, November 22. You can watch the trailer below.
If there is one thing that Bethesda does better than everyone else, it is their collectors editions. The collectors edition for Doom Eternal will feature a steel-book case, lore book, 11x17 lithograph, digital soundtracks for both Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal, some in-game content, and last, but certainly not least, a wearable Doomslayer helmet.
The last thing revealed for Doom Eternal, was the all new Battlemode. The mode pits two player-controlled demons against a fully kitted slayer. It is a highly competitive game-mode that will test the demons’ strategy, as much as the slayer’s skill. You can watch a teaser for the all new Battlemode below.
Doom Eternal is slated for a November 22 release date. More information and chances to play the game early will be available at certain events like Quakecon later this year. If you haven’t already, be sure to join the Slayers Club for special in game rewards for Doom Eternal when it launches. Will you be picking up Doom Eternal? If so, will you be picking up the absolutely metal collectors edition? Let me know in the comments!
