The official Japanese Tamagotchi website has confirmed the existence of an Eevee Tamagotchi! Tamagotchi hit it big back in the 90’s with their simple designs and fun virtual pet simulations. Ironically this is the same time period that Pokemon rose to global prominence. Unfortunately, while Pokemon would stay a driving force Tamagotchi slowly drifted into obscurity. That is until last year when the pocket pet simulator got a breath of fresh air for the 20th anniversary.
Now Tamagotchi and Pokemon are teaming up for the first time to bring us a new pet simulator where we take care of the multi faceted Eevee! The Eevee Tamagotchi comes in 2 flavors a brown “I love you Eevee” and pink “Colorful friends” and launches in January 2019 for 2,300 yen ($20). Each Tamagotchi will task player to raise their Eevee and allow it to evolve into any of its 8 evolution’s. Pokemon Let’s Go: Eevee has also seen the cute creature placed in a predominate position for the Pokemon franchise. Look out Pikachu A new mascot could be crowned soon!
