Just like its predecessor, Alien: Isolation 2 is a survival horror game. Players will have to use stealth to avoid getting killed by the Xenomorph, the iconic alien lifeform that will grant players a thrilling and, at times, claustrophobic experience. The gameplay is focused on surviving being hunted by the Xenomorph (and the occasional hostile human) rather than fighting it directly, making use of the environment and the resources you might come across.
What is the plot and setting of Alien: Isolation 2?
This time around, however, the gameplay could change as the game will be set in a much more open area: Kurasaki Station. The reveal trailer showed an Earth colony in ruins, probably already ravaged by the presence of at least one Xenomorph. It is unclear if the game’s plot will be a direct continuation of Alien: Isolation, but players can expect the same close-quarter scares.
