What platforms will Phantom Blade Zero release on?
Phantom Blade Zero will release on PS5 and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). In the recent release date announcement trailer, it was confirmed that Phantom Blade Zero will be a PS5 console exclusive “until at least 12 months after release date.” The game may eventually be released on other platforms such as Xbox Series X/S or Nintendo Switch 2.
What price is Phantom Blade Zero launching at?
S-GAME has yet to announce an official price for Phantom Blade Zero. Most probably, the game will cost $69.99, the AAA standard.
How does Phantom Blade Zero gameplay work?
Phantom Blade Zero is a third-person action RPG, with the player being able to carry two primary weapons (blades) and two secondary weapons, known as phantom edges, which can be axes, hammers, cannons, lances, and more. At the same time, you’ll be able to defend yourself from incoming attacks via dodging, blocking, and parrying.
The game features a semi-open world, featuring interconnected regions similar to those of a Dark Souls game. However, the high-intensity, faster, non-stamina-based action makes it a very different game from other soulslikes.
Where is the story and setting for Phantom Blade Zero?
Phantom Blade Zero tells the story of Soul, a warrior who was framed for the death of his master. After an attack that left him on the verge of death, all thanks to a literal broken heart, he is given a temporary cure by a healer. This “cure,” however, leaves Soul with only 66 days to live and, therefore, 66 days to clear his name, take out those responsible for framing him, and avenge his master.
The game is set in Phantom World, a fantasy version of China during the Ming dynasty (14th to 17th century). The game’s universe, according to S-GAME CEO Soulframe, blends Chinese Wuxia, steampunk, cyberpunk, dark fantasy, and horror.
Is there a demo available for Phantom Blade Zero?
While playable demos were available at events such as CES 2026 or Gamescom 2025, there is no publicly available demo yet. Whether there will be one ready closer to the game’s release date is yet to be seen.
