Saber Interactive has yet to announce Road Kings’ price. At the moment, there is only a standard edition available on the game’s site. Road Kings may cost $69.99, the modern AAA standard.
How does Road Kings’ gameplay work?
As players might guess, Road Kings is a truck simulator game. You’ll be tasked with driving a 40-ton semi hauling cargo through the coastal plains of the American South. As a simulator, this is not your average racing game. Variables such as weight, wear, brakes, torque, tires, and transmissions play a vital role while traversing various landscapes.
Hitting the road is only the first task. Drivers will need to be wary of the weather and surfaces if they wish to be a “Road King,” all while worrying about road signs, their remaining diesel, following service regulations, and watching out for troopers.
Completing jobs grants you reputation with agencies, dispatchers, and drivers. Players may choose to diversify their efforts across multiple sectors or focus to specialize in some, becoming an expert of sorts or, as the devs call it, a “star vendor.”
Asynchronous multiplayer is also available in Road Kings. Players can join or create a company they can manage in an effort to top the global Road Kings leaderboards.
What is the plot and setting of Road Kings?
Road Kings’ story has yet to be expanded upon. Still, the premise is simple: a ruthless corporation is threatening catastrophe in the American South, inspired by the Florida-Georgia border. Players are tasked with rescuing communities and delivering critical supplies to help mitigate the fallout of such a hostile expansion.
