How does Splatoon Raiders’ gameplay work?

Contrary to the other Splatoon games, Splatoon Raiders is a single-player, story-driven game. We control the mechanic, whose mission is to raid various map locations while searching for treasure guarded by the Salmonids, with dungeons placed in each of the islands you can visit in the game.

While raiding, players will be assisted by an Exploration Bot, which acts as a companion and is piloted by a member of the Deep Cut, the notorious Splatoon band. By looting everything in sight, the mechanic will be able to unlock abilities, parts of the Hideout Ship (which acts as a base), and gadgets that will come in handy.

What is the plot and setting of Splatoon Raiders?
