How does The Blood of Dawnwalker gameplay work?
The Blood of Dawnwalker is a third-person, open-world, dark fantasy action role-playing game. The protagonist is a vampire, and the game features a day and night mechanic that impacts how you control him.
During the day, swordplay will be your method of combat, attacking and parrying enemies, all while being aided with Hex magic. At night, however, you’ll access your vampiric abilities, allowing you to use your claws and bites to injure enemies. Powers such as teleportation and vertical wall walking will also come in handy, with the player being able to unlock more abilities through three different skill trees.
This duality will impact how you approach each of the game’s non-linear quests. In total, you have 30 days to complete your main goal, which is to save your family. However, the timer will not advance until you complete these quests, meaning that you can explore the world without any time constraints. Your decisions, however, will matter, with the story changing depending on which quests you choose to accept and complete.
What is the plot and setting of The Blood of Dawnwalker?
Set in 14th-century Europe, the game takes place in the fictional kingdom of Vale Sangora, located in the Carpathian Mountains. You play as Coen, a man who has become a Dawnwalker, that is, a half-human, half-vampire. Riddled with the choice of embracing his growing undead nature, Coen, as said above, will have 30 days to save his family.
